Centre for Shariah Research in Islamic Banking & Finance (CSRIBF)
Project Summary
CSRIBF, under the FRIEND Foundation, required a single-page website to formally introduce their work in Shariah-compliant finance, highlight their service offerings, and showcase their advisory team. The challenge was to balance clarity, simplicity, and professionalism—on one page—while delivering within a short timeframe.
01. The Challenge & Solution
CSRIBF had no previous online presence and needed a concise, elegant website that could communicate their purpose clearly to both academic and financial stakeholders. The goal was to launch a website that would serve as their official profile to attract partnerships, display credibility, and make their research and consultancy services accessible online.
We took a strategy-led approach: gathered detailed content inputs from the team, created clear section breakdowns (intro, services, team, contact), and built a mobile-optimised one-page WordPress site with smooth scroll navigation and a clean Islamic-inspired design.
Key Challenges:
No prior online visibility or digital footprint
Need to present complex services in a simplified layout
Importance of team credibility in establishing trust
Tight deadline of under 3 weeks
What We Did:
✅ Conducted content interviews to clarify services and team structure
✅ Planned and wrote content with focus on readability and accuracy
✅ Designed a clean, single-page layout using Elementor
✅ Optimised layout for mobile and performance
✅ Highlighted service offerings with icons and concise text
✅ Integrated contact and advisory details for outreach
“Designing clarity into complexity is what makes a good research website work.”
02. Working Process
We followed a lean, content-first approach to complete this time-sensitive project effectively:
Content Planning & Research:
Collaborated with CSRIBF team to finalise key service offerings and goals.
Outlined structure: Intro, Mission, Services, Team, Contact.
Ensured content followed accurate Islamic finance terminology and tone.
Design & Development:
Created a focused one-page layout using WordPress + Elementor.
Applied visual styling in line with Islamic identity: calligraphy accents, deep navy, white, and green.
Structured each section for intuitive vertical scroll.
Team Section:
Added bios and photos for Shariah Advisors and Technical Experts to build authority and legitimacy.
Testing & Launch:
Performed QA on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Ensured load speed, clickable sections, and contact form function smoothly.
